Never forget..

Sometimes in life we forget about the things that matter most to us. We become so consumed with all the responsibilities of daily life. We tend to put aside our dreams, needs & wants. Then again making sacrifices to maintain a stable environment can be more important to some than others.

I have been so busy working a 9-5 job, taking on many other responsibilities at home, with family and my part time writing jobs.  I have completely lost my path towards the goals I’ve set for myself.  I must somehow remember to always keep those in mind.

There have been times where I just want to give up on my writing. Only for the simple fact I am unable to find the time to do so. Then something hit me really hard last night & in my dreams I was reminding myself why I love to write. So here I am again.
Writing for me is more than just a hobby. It’s more than just blogging. It’s my way of releasing deep thoughts, pain, joy & dreams.  Sometimes I forget why and how this all started.  Yesterday I was quickly reminded of who I am and what I love to do. I am and always will be a WRITER.

Thank you to the co-worker of my sister who purchased one of my books and stated “My writing was amazing.” My sister relaying that message to me made my day. There are plenty of times that I become discouraged; especially when I have to deal with the negativity from bitter people on certain articles I write on as well. Well, criticism comes along with being a writer just as it does with any profession. I take the good along with the bad.  I keep on writing. I know that when I hear one person praise my work then I know that my passion for doing so continues. I don't need millions of people to follow me, or enjoy my writing. I write for myself because it's my passion. It helps me to connect & disconnect from the world. I love it.

Today being Sunday, Father's Day & my eldest sons birthday. I had many errands to run. I was somewhat emotional due to some issues I am enduring. I began to type in my journal. I stopped and chose to blog it out. As a writer I add my links under certain words. As I was doing so. I was surprisingly shocked to see that my second book is being sold at BARNES & NOBLE. I was overwhelmed with feeling proud. I immediately called my sister & just yelled GOD IS GOOD. It was certainly a sign given.

This may not seem like your typical blog of food, shopping, gossip, music etc. This is just me plain & simple. An ordinary everyday woman venting. It's what made me a writer. It has taken a long time for me to get where I am today. I will never, ever doubt myself again. I will always make time for my writing regardless of who or what time it may compromise. There is no other joy than to keep experiencing the feeling that I felt today seeing my books, my name on the #1 BookStore in America.  For this accomplishment I am eternally grateful and will NEVER FORGET to keep on writing.

Thanks for reading..  )0(
