Fantasies, Dreams & Reality

First of let me start off by saying. I am feeling much better, thank you to all who asked why I had not been blogging. Sometimes we ignore our bodies no matter how many times it sends us signals for rest. So, with that said I have had plenty of time to think and had much time to put things into perspective; well sort of. Maybe ya'll can give me some feedback on this one. (Yes, I said ya'll, I'm a Texan).

Much has been on my mind lately as far as dreams, fantasies and of course the reality of both. Can I really use the word reality with fantasy? Hmm.? I asked my partner this morning "What do you consider to be a fantasy?" He looked at me like I was crazy and said "It's not sexual like you think." Now, I never said that so why would he assume that I thought that? Is this the first thing MEN think of when asked this question?  Does fantasy always mean sexual? The way things are these days I'm sure to most it probably is.

Anyway, I believe that my question was due to some dreams that I have had, then the reality of it during the day. What does it all mean; If anything at that? Do fantasies & dreams mean something? Do we "Fantasize" what we need & want in our dreams knowing it can not "possibly" come true?

I have been told lately (yes by someone old fashioned) that fantasies are for perverts and they're always sexual. If someone dreams of you that way; that is how they see you as a person; for that only. I DO NOT believe this. I have come to a conclusion on why this person would try to have me believe this explanation and can only laugh but it's ok. I understand. I am a mature woman & know better. lol (Although a part of me will keep that in mind at times)

I'm sure many people (not just men) have fantasies; but what are they? Do they all involve women & sex? I have had my share of fantasies some have been; Finanical (winning the lottery), Silly (being on a soap opera) Impossible (meeting John Travolta) & yes Erotic having pleasure with someone other than your spouse & even with your spouse or craziness with just your spouse. Lol.

Whatever the case maybe I have come to accept that while you sleep your mind wonders off into a world of it's own. Happiness, sadness, richness, death, sexual pleasure are all based on something deep within our own souls that is crying out through our sleep. It is trying to reach out to us to let us know in one way or another what we are lacking or so desire. After all: The heart wants what the heart wants.

Go ahead Fantasize, Dream all you want too; one day it just may become your Reality.......... Neena44
